Special Olympics Rhode Island

Special Olympics Rhode Island has been changing lives in our community for decades. Today, they have over 4,000 athletes involved in more than 1,600 training and athletic competition opportunities in 21 different sports in Rhode Island. On top of participating in the Special Olympics World Games and USA Games, they run sports programs for people with intellectual disabilities year-round. The Special Olympics Young Athletes Program now reaches children as young as two. One standout of their many amazing programs is the Unified Champion Schools program, which is focused on building more inclusive school communities and fighting the bullying that is prevalent against our population. In Rhode Island, there are over 100 participating schools ranging from high school down to pre-school.

Hope Energy is a proud contributor to the 2020 John Henderson Memorial Golf Tournament for the Special Olympics of Rhode Island.

West Bay RI

Hope Energy is proud to support West Bay RI, an organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Rhode Island since 1981. Their mission is to provide innovative, person-centered supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in ways that promote community inclusion, personal power, self-expression, and life fulfillment. Their services include residential services, employment and self-employment support programs, supported living, shared living, and transition services for youth.

Hope Energy is happy to donate to West Bay RI’s Fifth Annual Strides for Independence Walk-a-thon.
